Reykjavik, a vibrant city for all seasons

Reykjavik is a special city to visit. It has a great variety of excellent restaurants, fun bars, cozy coffee houses and very good shopping, either on the main street Laugavegur or at the two malls, Kringlan and Smáralind.
Reykjavik has a good variety of art galleries.
The Reykjavik nightlife is with out a doubt a great experience. Reykjavik is know for its lovely cafés and lively night live. You can choose from all kinds of bars and clubs.
Reykjavik is also famous for its amazing outdoor swimming.We have 18 swimmingpools in the Reykjvik area so there is plenty to choose from. They open early and close around 22:00 (closing time is earlier at weekends) Admission fee is aprx. 500 ISK per adult and 120 ISK per children. Children under 6 years swim for free. Most of the pools have slides and children area.

We also have in Reykjavik a beach where there is a heated pool and we also heat the sea next to the beach with our geothermal hot water. Its an excellent place on a good day.
The old harbour
The harbour in the older part of Reykjavik is a charming place to visit, be it for a stroll by the harbour or to have a cup of coffee or try one of the restaurants, there are also shops with Icelandic products.
