The apartment was absolutely gorgeous - a totally unique experience - and a perfect location. We couldn't have imagined a more perfect place to stay in Reykjavik. Super spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed lovely dinners on the balcony. Very convenient location - close to everything we wanted to do. HIghly recommended!
This is a wonderful, spacious, contemporary 1-bedroom flat in the center of Reykjavik. It fully met all of our needs, even with a friend dropping by (slept on the fold out couch and found it very comfortable). Loved the kitchen!! Has everything you could want/need for your stay. Very close to the BSI station and a grocery store. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back next time we're in Reykjavik!
My wife and I have just returned from a fantastic 5 day trip to Iceland. The apartment is right on the main street in Reykjavik, was very luxuriously appointed and had everything we could have wanted and more. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in! The endless hot water was fantastic, as was the Wi-Fi for looking up and booking excursions, restaurants, etc. The Landlord Sjonni met us on our arrival, gave us excellent restaurant recommendations, and showed us where to park the car free of charge. Nothing was too much bother and I cannot recommend the apartment in particular and Iceland in general for a wonderful, relaxing break! We will definitely return again in the Summer time.

on the surface Hugi's apartment seems too good to be true, but in fact it's better - it's large, bright, clean, well-furnished and well-equipped with everything in terrific working order. The location is as central to downtown Reykjavik as you could hope and the rates a total bargain. Hugi was terrific to deal with, eager to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed and all questions answered. I intend on returning to Iceland in the near future to continue exploring the country and when I do, my first move will be to try and secure this apartment again. Fantastic experience.

There was room enough for everybody without feeling like we were crowded in. The home is well-cared for and the photos posted are current and show exactly how the home looks. I would definitely recommend to friends.
We just wanted to thank you for a wonderfula time in Iceland, the house was ideal for our large family of 7 and in a great location. We walked up to the church as you suggested and loved the fire works. The trip would have been perfect if we could have seen the northen lights, but we don´t mind, we plan on returning!!
We had an amazing new years in Iceland, the apartment was perfect for us (2 couples) and close to the town. The owner told us where to see the bonfire and that was great.
Great host; really helpful. We would take a trip back to Iceland just to say at Siggi's place (and go to the blue lagoon). Loved the radiant heat and the shower! Comfortable beds and each one had a robe and a candy on it when we checked in. The GPS Siggi provides with the car was great!
My wife, teenage daughter, two small children, and I stayed at this lovely apartment in late November '11. The owners are fabulous and were very responsive (showed up right away to help us get the wireless internet working). The house was well supplied with all of the ammenities necessary for our stay. We enjoyed the kitchen and even cooked a traditional Yankee Thanksgiving feast.
The location is perfect. We did not need a car. Groceries are close by, as well as restaurants, clubs, shops and walks along the sea front.
We rented your apartment over this past weekend and just wanted to say thank you very much for your hospitality. We loved the apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Iceland, so much so that we are planning to return again next summer for a longer trip! I trust that you found everything was in proper order.

Siggi's apartment is wonderful. It's clean, spacious, quiet, located minutes from downtown by car and minutes from the coast by foot. Siggi himself is absolutely lovely and hospitable. I was traveling alone and he'd planned extremely well for incoming guests- the car had a full tank of gas, came equipped with GPS (Iceland's geography can be confusing!), and gave me a mobile with his and Nanna's numbers as well as the number of the car emergency service programmed into the address book. He also picked me up from the FlyBus and gave me a tour of the area. I felt very comfortable immediately. The apartment is private and secure. There are blackout blinds in the bedroom for the summertime. Siggi is easy to reach by phone or email. The neighborhood is wonderful and running around the peninsula should not be missed- neither should the pool/baths, which I also liked best of those I visited. This apartment is a really great find.

Siggi is the best host in Iceland. He is warm, friendly, and hospitable. His car window got jammed and the rain was coming in as well as the cold. Problem? No way! Siggi told us to come back home, his daughter gave us her car and we were on our way! How great is that!!!!!! I recommend him, his apartment, his car and his personality and care for his guests! We rented the apartment, me and my family and my parents, it was perfect for us, close to the supermarked (two actually) and a short walk to the center, we had excelent food at the Fish Company and the kids loved the Hamburger joint on the harbour.
Over the past year I've had a number of very good experiences with rented apartments - this one was by far the best. The apartment is even better than indicated by the photos: it's open, bright, decorated with flair and taste, very modern but very comfortable and warm at the same time. And the view south over the city to the water is magnificent, with sun pouring in all day and great sunsets, weather permitting. Audur is the best host I've come across. She's generous with her time and knowledge of Reykjavik and of Iceland more generally, very easy to communicate with and responsive about logistics, helpful in every way. She's the kind of host that creates a different, better experience of this place than might be possible otherwise, in the true spirit of the word 'host'. I can't wait to go back.

I visited Reykjavik with my father in July 2011, and opted to rent a flat for five days instead of a hotel. I was thoroughly pleased with the result. The flat was reasonably priced, very clean, and close to shops, restaurants, and the center. Also, the ability to cook and store food was a big bonus. Jenny and Kata were extremely professional and helpful, as they patiently answered requests and questions I had before the trip. I would definitely recommend this rental.
Great place in a quiet suburb of Reykjavik, right by the coast. We enjoyed the boardwalk along the ocean and the golf course in the midst of a bird sanctuary, which is just a mile away. The outdoor geothermal pool in is just a short walk away and is one of the best in the whole city, in my opinion. Sigi and his family are warm, fantastic hosts and I would recommend their place to anyone. Hope to be back one day.just returned from one of the best holidays ever. Iceland is spectacular and not to be missed. Check out the glaciers, Geysir, waterfalls and hot springs. But the best thing about our trip was Siggi and Nana´s genuine hospitality. When we found the apartment we thought this was too good to be true. In fact, everything was better than we could have imagined. Seltjarnarnes is clearly the very best of Iceland! Thank you Siggi!!!

Cant think of a better location of a vacation house, it´s right in the center. My husband and I with our 3 children had a lovely time, the owner was welcoming and gave us lots of tips regarding things to see and do in Reykjavik. Best of everything in walking distance of all points of interest
Our family including my husband and mother and father really researched options for our stay in Reykjavik. We are thrilled we found this place! It is top notch on every level: right on the main drag in the city, comfortable, clean, elegant, and well-equipped space, with an outstanding family managing reservations and events.
We had the added bonus of working with the family to organize our trips pony trekking and exploring the country, which was fun, informative, and made the whole trip excellent. You won't find a nicer and more informed host (Sjonni is a well-traveled mountaineering guide and expert), and the fee is more than reasonable comparatively.

Along with our daughter and her husband, we stayed in Jenny and Sjonni's spacious, well-equiped, afforable apartment located in a very convenient part of town. They gave us their phone numbers and encouraged us to call them if we needed anything. They also offer very interesting, affordable and informative tours. Sjonni, who is a trained mountain guide and is very congenial, drove us around to the places we wanted to see. We would certainly stay in one of their apartments if we visited Iceland again and highly recommend their apartments to anyone visiting Reykjavik.
Thank you, we had an absolutely wonderful time. We went diving at Silfra, did a golden circle superjeep tour, went snowmobiling and went to the blue lagoon. We also ate at the 3 Frenchmen and had a great night out on Saturday. I don't think we did much sleeping!
The house was absolutely perfect for the group, and we'll ahve very fond memories of it.
A very cozy apartment
We stayed with our 7 year old daughter in this very nice apartment, we took the Fly bus from the airport and could walk to the apartment. It had everything we needed, the walk to town was only about 15 min. I recomend the latte at the cofffee house in the park!

"Unforgettable New Years in Reykjavik"
We were a group of 6 adults spending just a few days in Reykjavik to clebrate the New Year. We had an amzing stay and much of it is due ot the location of the Townhouse. Only a few blocks from downtown we were able to walk to shops, restaruants, bars and tour package pick ups. The kitchen/living room is so roomy and comfortable. As for sleeping arrangements there were more than enough beds. There is only one bathroom with shower/bath facilities, but even for 6 adults we had no issues. The townhouse was great and we are already considering a trip back.
A great apartment! Very good location, close to the sea ( I love the sea) and also only 15 min walk to the centre. The double bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed.

Where to start - the apartment is immaculate - super stylish and very warm - all the amenities I need when I travel like a kitchen - great 2 baths master bedroom and patio to entertain guest or enjoy the weather. entschuldige bitte, dass ich jetzt erst antworte. Wir sind gestern von unserer Reise zurückgekehrt; die mails zu dieser Adresse habe ich leider zwischendurch nicht gelesen.
Wegen des Balkons haben wir uns ja mit Tinna einigen können; sie hat uns einen kleinen Nachlass gewährt. Es war wirklich unglücklich so, aber es war für uns ein wichtiger Grund, das Appartment zu buchen, weil ein Balkon vorhanden war. Danach hatte ich ja extra noch gefragt und offenbar wurde dir diese Info auch so weitergetragen. Ich hoffe, du hast dadurch keine Unannehmlichkeiten gehabt.
Insgesamt hat es uns in dem Appartment trotzdem sehr gut gefallen und auch die Lautstärke durch die Straße war kein Problem. Dennoch war es gut, dass du extra darauf hingewiesen hast, so gab es diesbezüglich keine Überraschung. Eure Betreuung empfanden wir absolut super und vorbildlich!! Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, ein positives Feedback im Internet zu äußern? Dann würde ich das sehr gerne machen ....

Benni´s Apartment was great : ) Very nice and warm and Benjamin's partner was very welcoming and showed us around and explained things that needed explaining which was great. Couldn't work out how to use the TV and we just guessed what to do when it came to the washing machine (we couldn't read the icelandic!). Very central, comfortable and had everything we needed.
We had a great time in Iceland and thank you again for your assistance. I hope they find the keys :)

Dear Jenny, Just wanted you to know that both my families arrived home safe and sound and tired from our wonderful holiday in Iceland. It was such a great time,very easy, exciting and so interesting because of all your help.
The taxi that took us to the Blue Lagoon was great, the driver ended up letting us stay two hours at the Lagoon and then took less money than you had told us about, he said it would be "robbery" to charge us any more. So that was a great ending to your amazing country.

hoffe du hattest eine sonnige Zeit im Süden und bist wieder gut angekommen. Wir hatten es auf jeden Fall sehr sonnig (in jeder Beziehung) und haben die Zeit auf Island sehr genossen, auch wenn es für uns mit Arbeit verbunden war. (Wir waren diesmal für Fotos für Outdoor-Bekleidung unterwegs).

I'm just back from a wonderful week in Iceland. This was my first trip there and I travelled with my wife and two kids (10 & 8). after a few deliberations, I decided that an apartment would be best. It would allow us to spread out, have space to relax and allow some cheap meals! (the latter only figured in breakfasts, one late return pizza night and a lunch or two.)
I started looking at holiday-rentals.co.uk - it was a useful way to ping availability queries to a lot of people quickly. In getting a knock-back for one apartment, I was offered another by www.rentinreykjavik.com
This was a real blessing - Jenny from RiR was fantastic - really quick replies to my random queries. She bent over backwards to make the deposit paying work for me. I ended up with the Apartment with a View. What an understatement! This was a lovely, large, airy apartment bang on Tjornin (right across from Radhus). The owner Hugi again was a pleasure to deal with - e.g. organising car parking right across the street for a nominal fee. I've rented a few apartments in my time and I was really impressed with the standard of fixtures and fittings here. It had everything you need (but don't want to pack) - from dishwasher tablets, thru cooking oil to sellotape!

Just writing to say thanks for the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful apartment in Reykjavik, the location was fantastic, and the apartment itself really lovely. We even had the opportunity to enjoy the terrace on Friday morning as the sun was shining. Will definately recommend this apartment to anyone we know travelling to Reykjavik.
